Kaziranga

Kaziranga is popularly known as the home of the “Big Five” – the elephant, rhinoceros, wild buffalo, tiger and swamp deer. Kaziranga National Park is spread over 858 sq.kms and is located in the floodplains on both sides of the Brahmaputra river. Kaziranga has five ranges namely Eastern Range at Agaratoli , Central Range at Kohora, Western Range at Bagori, Burapahar Range at Ghorakati and Northern Range at Biswanath. A memorable way of exploring Kaziranga is on eleplant-back. Another option to explore the park is to take the jeep safari, which is also highly recommended, as it offers the added benefit of covering a vast expanse in a relatively short span of time. Best season to visit Kaziranga is from mid-November to early April months.
